Calypso is a gorgeous and uniquely marked 8-year-old Paint gelding, standing a solid 16 hands, with a presence that turns heads and a personality that wins hearts. This big, handsome guy is a total puppy-dog type—friendly, affectionate, and always wanting to be part of the action. He’s very much an “in-your-pocket” horse who loves attention and will greet you at the gate every time. Calypso is easy to catch, gets along great with other horses, and is polite and patient to handle. He stands quietly for grooming and tacking, enjoys baths, is easy to clip, good with his feet, and loads and hauls well. Under saddle, Calypso is laid-back, confident, and uncomplicated. He has extensive coastal trail and beach experience, takes new environments in stride, and stays calm around flags, tarps, and obstacles. He has a great whoa-then-go mindset—happy to ride out alone, with friends, or just enjoy an easygoing ride. In the arena, he knows his leads, has a good stop, and walks, trots, and lopes nice, balanced circles. He’s straightforward, pleasant to ride, and suitable for a wide range of riders. He can also have time off and come right back into work without issue.
